I took my mom and my aunt to see Linda Ronstadt and the Mariachi Cobre in San Jose tonight. I was amazed at the vocal quality of Miss Ronstadt. Listening to her singing Rancheras and Corridos brought back memories of listening to my parents albums of Mexican music. And her vocal phrasing was just dead on to those albums. It was too cool. I think aunt and my mother enjoyed themselves, singing along with their favorites. I can't believe that Linda Ronstadt just turned 59 years old! Incredible vocals.
I think before I go to sleep, I will read a couple of chapters of the new Harry Potter book!
