The San Francisco Giants should have come in last place in the West Division with all the injuries that had occurred during the 2011 season. The lack of offense was more than torture. Yet, the Giants weren't officially eliminated from the playoffs until the last weekend of the season, though I admit there was no chance they would have made the playoffs. And the team was 55-9 when they actually scored four or more runs. But the injuries were brutal to the core of the team, especially Buster Posey. Even though I admit that in my wildest dreams maybe the Giants could have made the playoffs and defended their World Series Championship, coming in second place wasn't too bad since it was ahead of the Dodgers. ;)
